Best FIFA players in the world caught cheating while wearing COVID costumes

Two of the best FIFA players in the world have been busted dressing up and using false identities to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

Ruben Zerecero and Christian Nieva, the latter of which has worked for FIFA in an official capacity, were arrested in Mexico when each produced false documentation.

The birth certificates belonged to older relatives of Zerecero and they were caught because after being vaccinated an official determined they were acting suspiciously.

They were arrested while wearing hoodies, dark glasses and face masks, and appeared in court this week charged with forging public documents could land them in prison for nine years.

The pair were allegedly spruiking their success when they were sprung, with some on social media suggesting the operation was a publicity stunt.

Zerecero has finished runner-up at the FIFA Interactive World Cup and has appeared in adverts for Xbox.

Nieva is known for his career within EA Sports’ development team for Latin America.
