Following victory in Las Vegas a whole host of names were mentioned in regard to who his next opponent could be, with many wanting to see an all-British bout with Anthony Joshua, while others called for a title clash with Oleksandr Usyk – who defeated Joshua last month.
However, the WBC revealed that either Dillian Whyte or Otto Wallin would be Fury’s mandatory challenger as the pair were set to face off in two weeks’ time.
Despite this, the Sun have since reported that fellow Brit Whyte has been forced to pull out of the clash at the end of October due to a shoulder injury.
Whyte remains the mandatory challenger for Fury, but Wallin could also be option depending on the seriousness of Whyte’s injury. Fury has already beaten Wallin earlier in his career.
