Rookie outfielder Alek Thomas of the Arizona Diamondbacks earned his first career Electric Play of the Week Award on Monday, and he’s Arizona’s first winner since his teammate Josh Rojas last year for the period ending May 2.
In the bottom of the first inning against the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park on Wednesday, Thomas ranged to the outfield wall in left-center field to leap and rob Joey Votto of a two-run home run.
