Boxing promoter Frank Warren has revealed Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury blocked a huge heavyweight clash for fellow fighter Daniel Dubois. Rumours surrounding a fight between Joshua and Fury were rife in 2022, but the rumours proved needless as the fight once again did not get over the line.
Not only did the back and forth between the two sides affect the schedule of Joshua and Fury, it also caused chaos to others, including Dubois. Promoter Warren revealed all, when admitting his fighter missed out on a blockbuster clash with Dillian Whyte due to the inconclusiveness of Joshua and Fury’s plans.
Speaking to Seconds Out, Warren said: “He [Dubois] is in a position now where he is going to be in big fights. I mean we were trying to do the Dillian Whyte fight last year but because of the moving around, sodding around with the AJ fight, that got moved and I wished it hadn’t of got moved, I wish we could have done that fight.”
