Alessio Di Chirico will look to build upon the momentum he earned following his knockout win over Joaquin Buckley in October.

Multiple people with knowledge of the promotion’s plans confirmed to MMA Fighting that a matchup between Di Chirico and Roman Dolidze will take place at the UFC’s event on June 5 with a location and venue yet to be announced. BJPenn.com was first to report the bout.

Di Chirico snapped a three-fight skid when he stopped the surging Buckley in the first round at UFC Fight Island 7, the promotion’s first event to air on ABC. “Manzo” earned his second Performance of the Night bonus with the victory, his fourth overall with the promotion.

Dolidze will look to bounce back from his first professional defeat to Trevin Giles at UFC Vegas 22 this past month. The middleweight bout served as Dolidze’s first octagon appearance in the weight class after earning a pair of wins over Khadis Ibragimov and John Allan in the light heavyweight division.
