Daria Kasatkina and Margarita Gasparyan will battle it out in the final of the WTA Tour’s St. Petersburg Ladies Trophy.

Eighth-seeded Kasatkina rallied from a set down for the second time in as many days to overcome fourth-seeded Svetlana Kuznetsova 1-6 6-0 6-2.

Gasparyan saved four set points in the second set before beating fellow wildcard Vera Zvonareva 6-3 7-6 (11-9).

It was the first all-Russian semi-final quartet at a WTA tournament, with Kasatkina and Gasparyan to contest the 30th all-Russian final on Sunday.

The 23-year-old Kasatkina is chasing her fourth title.

Already a champion this year at the Phillip Island Trophy in Australia, Kasatkina becomes the second player to reach multiple finals in 2021 after Garbine Muguruza (champion in Dubai and runner-up at the Yarra Valley Classic and Doha).

Gasparyan, 26, is going for her third.
