Formula 1 landed in Bahrain for the single pre-season three-day test ahead of the 2023 season, and here are the driver schedules for every team.
Formula 1 teams will get to know for the first time whether they have done a decent job over the winter designing and building their 2023 F1 challengers just one week ahead of the Bahrain season opener.
Pre-season testing in 2023 will be limited to only one three-day session at Bahrain’s International Circuit in Sakhir.

Red Bull
Max Verstappen will be on driving duty for the full Thursday, and will continue on Friday morning, handing over to Sergio Perez in the afternoon.
Perez will drive the whole final day of testing for the 2022 F1 Champions.
Mercedes
George Russell starts on Thursday morning and Lewis Hamilton takes over in the afternoon, as the roles are reversed on Friday.
For the final day, Russell starts in the morning while Hamilton concluded the team’s running.
Ferrari
Ferrari split driving duties between their drivers on all three days, Carlos Sainz kicking off on Thursday morning and Charles Leclerc taking over for the afternoon.
The same applied for the second day (Friday), while on the final day (Saturday), Leclerc will be on morning duty, while Sainz signs off the test on the final afternoon.
McLaren
McLaren will give their rookie Oscar Piastri the first chance to drive the MCL60 on Thursday morning while Lando Norris drives later in the day.
Norris will drive on Friday morning, Piastri in the afternoon, and duties will be reversed for the final day.
Alpine
Also split duties at Alpine, with newcomer Pierre Gasly the first to drive on Day 1, with Ocon handling the afternoon driving.
The second day will have a reverse order, the final being the same as the first.
Aston Martin
With Lance Stroll ruled out of pre-season testing after his bike accident, Aston Martin gave reserve Felipe Drugovich the chance to drive the team’s AMR23 on Thursday morning while Fernando Alonso takes over in the afternoon.
Aston Martin are yet to confirm their driver lineup for the remaining two days of the test.
AlphaTauri
Yuki Tsunoda will drive first on Thursday, with Nyck de Vries handling the afternoon driving duties. The same applied for the second day of testing.
De Vries drives on the morning of the final day (Saturday) and Tsunoda signs off in the afternoon.
Haas
Nico Hulkenberg drives on Thursday morning, with Kevin Magnussen driving in the afternoon, while roles are reversed on Day 2 (Friday), the final day roles being the as the first
Williams
Alex Albon drives on Thursday morning, while rookie Logan Sargeant drive in the afternoon.
Sargeant will handle driving duties for the full Day 2 (Friday) while Albon will be at the wheel for the whole Day 3 (Saturday).
Alfa Romeo
The first to drive on Thursday morning will be Zhou Guanyu, Valtteri Bottas driving later in the day.
Zhou will drive all day on Friday, while Bottas will have the final day all for himself.
