Josh Taylor and Jose Ramirez collide in Las Vegas tonight in a battle to become the undisputed super-lightweight champion of the world. The contest has heated up nicely inside the fight bubble this week and the Scotsman has made it clear he’s bringing war when the pair trade leather.
Last night, Taylor clashed with Ramirez after the weigh-in during explosive scenes after the WBA, IBF and Ring Magazine champion was goaded by the American-Mexican’s camp.
Ramirez arguably heads into the contest with more to prove after being continuously overlooked as the best fighter in the division.
Taylor received pound-for-pounding recognition after he edged Regis Prograis in a 12-round thriller at the 02 Arena back in October 2019 to unify the division.
The mouthwatering matchup with Ramirez has been highly anticipated ever since Taylor split from Cyclone Promotions to sign with Top Rank.
Now he is ready to prove he is amongst the world’s most elite fighters as he looks to clear everybody out in his path at 140lbs.
The 30-year-old is looking to become Scotland’s second undisputed world champion as he looks to follow in the footsteps of idol Ken Buchanan.

Taylor remains confident he will prove too much for Ramirez, who has won all 26 of his professional contests to date.
“I’m feeling nice and relaxed and supremely confident ahead of Saturday, I can’t wait,” Taylor said. “I’m really looking forward to this fight.
“There will definitely be some fireworks in there, 100 per cent. But I think I know what to expect from Ramirez – he’s going to come forward and put the pressure on.
“He’ll try and break me down, put me on the back foot up against the ropes. That’s what he’s going to bring, but I’m fully prepared. Whatever he brings I’m ready for.”
