The Braves announced on Friday they have signed catcher Travis d’Arnaud to a two-year, $16 million contract, which includes an $8 million club option for 2024.
d’Arnaud, 32, returned from the 60-day injured list on August 11 after suffering a torn ligament in his left thumb on May 1. He won the Silver Slugger Award in 2020 in his first season with the Braves after hitting .321 with nine home runs in 44 games.
d’Arnaud has hit safely in 3 of his 5 games since returning, and Atlanta has won all five.
