“We’re practicing to make perfect, so when I get in the ring there won’t be no questions asked. I won’t be going back to old habits, it’ll be right off of what we’ve been working on in this camp. In the end, my hand will be raised high in the sky because I knocked him out.”
Wilder’s emphasis on having his team all on the same page could well have been a jibe at former trainer Mark Breland, who Wilder criticised and eventually sacked after he was the man to throw the towel in from the American’s corner during his last bout with Fury.
As well as blaming his former coach and accusing Fury of cheating, Wilder also said another key reason for his defeat on home soil in their last meeting was down to the ‘heavy’ outfit he wore when walking into the ring.
