Simon Jordan and Eddie Hearn were branded the ‘Chuckle Brothers’ after becoming embroiled in an explosive debate on talkSPORT on Tuesday morning. After months of verbal jousting between the pair, the Matchroom boss finally agreed to appear on the White and Jordan show, where he was again confronted over his handling of the Conor Benn saga.

The former Crystal Palace owner was vociferously critical of Hearn in the aftermath of the fight being scrapped, which prompted the promoter to challenge him to a charity boxing match. And it didn’t take long for them to go at it again in the studio, with Jordan labelling his guest a ‘coward’ and accusing him of not pulling the fight when he should have done.

“This where you fail to understand. Under the contract, the board [British Boxing Board of Control] govern the sport,” fired back Hearn. “Contractually in the incidence of this, the fight cannot proceed if the board don’t approve – no matter what happens in private testing.”

Jordan wasn’t letting things lie there though, later accusing his new nemesis of escaping punishment. “You need to get over your victim’s complex and you should be sanctioned by the BBBofC,” he added. “You tried to get this fight on despite knowing Benn had failed a drugs test.”
