Since the introduction of the Next-Gen cars, poor short track racing product has been a big topic of discussion in the racing community. The new cars makes passing really hard on the small ovals, and this coupled with lack of tier wear, dirty air issues and traffic issues makes it really impossible to have an entertaining race.

Drivers and teams has been seeking major changes over tiers, engine power and more from NASCAR. The sanctioning body has tested multiple tweaks including changing diffuser, new tier compounds and multiple aero-tweaks to make racing better. But nothing has worked so far and many including reigning champion Ryan Blaney finds it disappointing.
