Spinner Sam Kerber hung in for a bright half century as South Australia scored a competitive 333 against Victoria in their Sheffield Shield match.
The Redbacks were all out midway through the first session on day two with the Bushrangers 1-25 in response at the lunch break.
Kerber helped bolster the SA total with his 55 – he was one of seven batsmen to score 25 or more but none really going on with the job.
The reliable Travis Head top-scored with 76.
Spinner Jon Holland was the pick of the bowlers at St Kilda’s Junction Oval with 5-82.
Travis Dean lasted just two balls when Victoria started their response, lbw to the retiring Chadd Sayers for a duck.
Marcus Harris (17) and Peter Handscomb (8) were the not out batsmen in a match that has no bearing on who will reach the Sheffield Shield final.
