Returning to Mexico or Canada has been the most often talked about first step in the sanctioning body’s effort to widen its market. But according to latest rumours the shift might come at the cost of an iconic short track.
Since the underwhelming race that was hosted by Richmond Raceway this year, rumors about the track losing a one of its two-race date have been intensified. Recently there has been rumors that NASCAR is looking to host a road course race at Mexico, which is a huge motorsports market and according to Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. Richmond would be the track that might get sacrificed.
