Floyd Mayweather will return to the boxing ring this weekend when he takes on YouTube star Oladeji Olatunji – better known as Deji – on Sunday evening. Since ending his professional career unbeaten in 2017 against Conor McGregor, Mayweather has turned his attention to a number of exhibition bouts.
In 2021 the boxing star took on YouTuber Logan Paul, with the result ending in a draw. Then most recently, Mayweather defeated former sparring partner Don Moore in May of this year, before seeing off Mikuru Asakura in September.
Now though, his attention turns back to one of YouTube’s newly found fighting stars, as Deji – brother of famous streamer and musician KSI – gets his attempt at the American legend. Mayweather returns to the UAE, the place in which he defeated Moore six months ago.
And, the 45-year-old has revealed he is out to please the Dubai crowd once more, commenting: “I’m happy to be back in the UAE, it’s always great to come here.” Heading into the bout, it seems the boxing great is unsurprisingly full of confidence as he outlined his relaxed preparation for the bout.
He added: “I don’t ever really train that hard when it’s for an exhibition. But I look forward to going out there and just having fun.” Ahead of this weekend’s Dubai showdown, here is everything you need to know for Mayweather’s latest exhibition bout.
