Fury claimed that alongside the Cardiff date, Old Trafford had been booked for November 5 and Wembley Stadium for November 26. Despite initially favouring a bout later on in December, Joshua has agreed to return for what would be his third fight in the Welsh capital.

But Warren, the Morecambe man’s promoter, appeared on the talkSPORT White and Jordan show on Wednesday lunchtime to say that he didn’t expect any stumbling blocks this time around: “Everybody wants it [the fight], there aren’t any obstacles, so hopefully very quickly we can get it over the line,” he said.
However, he did warn boxing fans that the contracts were yet to be signed, sealed and delivered, adding there was still work to do: “But until it’s signed, it’s not on,” he added. “The basis of the deal, 90% of what counts, is okay. 10% we’ve got to sort out.”
