Tyson Fury is expected to announce that he will face Derek Chisora in a trilogy match in December despite having already beaten his rival twice before. A breakdown in talks between Fury and Anthony Joshua has seen chances of a British heavyweight showdown disappear and Chisora looks to have been handed a world title shot.
ESPN believe that the fight at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is set to be finalised for December 3. Chisora has lost three of his last four fights by decision against Joseph Parker and Oleksandr Usk – who Fury also plans to fight in his next two bouts.
Promoter Frank Warren told Express Sport last week about Fury’s three-fight plan. He said: “I spoke to Tyson yesterday and he was talking about Joyce next year, having this fight with Chisora, hopefully unifying the titles [against Oleksandr Usyk] and then fighting Joe Joyce so that’s his next year for him, isn’t it?
“That’s what Tyson was talking about, so we’ll see where we go with it… whatever he chooses to do, I’ll support it. I look at my relationship with him as a little bit special and I only want the best for him.”

Chisora first fought Fury 11 years ago when the British heavyweight was aged just 23 losing by unanimous decision. Three years later ‘Del Boy’ was at the peak of his powers having won five fights in a row so wanted a re-match with Fury who convincingly won again.
Fury will be using the Chisora fight to prepare himself for a heavyweight world championship fight against Usyk provisionally planed for next year. However, with Del Boy only losing by decision against the Ukrainian world champion two years ago he remains a threat.

“In my opinion, Chisora at least got a draw with Usyk,” Fury said. “So I see Chisora every bit as dangerous as Usyk. If it is Chisora, he’s no pushover and if you’re not on your A game Derek will beat you.”
Fury had already claimed he offered Chisora £2million to accept the trilogy fight earlier this year, which his opponent rejected. However, it now seems the pair have reached an agreement despite the Zimbabwe heavyweight continuing to deny that talks are taking place.
