Two Big Ten teams hoping to capitalize on the momentum of victories earlier this week will square off Sunday when Indiana plays host to Michigan on CBS at 3:30 ET. The Hoosiers (14-4, 5-3 Big Ten) have won four of their last five and are trying to build on Thursday’s huge victory over No. 4 Purdue, while Michigan (8-7, 2-3) will hope it found something replicable in an 83-64 win over Maryland on Tuesday.

It’s been a disappointing season for a Wolverines’ squad that began the year ranked No. 6 in the AP Top 25. They are just 52nd in the NET ranking and had dropped four of their last five before the win over the Terrapins. The offense came to life for Michigan in that game, however, as it shot 58.3% from the floor behind a 10 of 14 performance from sophomore big man Hunter Dickinson.

Indiana won 68-65 over Purdue, despite an uncharacteristically quiet night from its own star big man Trayce Jackson-Davis. The victory, which induced a court-storming at Assembly Hall, was all about the guard play as Xavier Johnson and Rob Phinisee combined for 38 points. If the Hoosiers can consistently get offensive contributions from those two, they could find themselves in the running for one of the top-four spots in the league standings come season’s end.

Indiana vs. Michigan prediction, picks

Featured Game | Indiana Hoosiers vs. Michigan Wolverines

This is a trap spot for Indiana as it returns to action following an emotional victory. Michigan is entering off two days of rest and could theoretically be better prepared. But Assembly Hall should be hopping once again, and there’s a chance the Hoosiers may have turned a corner. They are 12-0 at home this season and have won three of their four Big Ten home games by double-digits. The bet here is that they make it four of five. Prediction: Indiana 79, Michigan 65
