By the age of 13, Tyson had been arrested 38 times for an array of crimes as his single mother struggled to keep him out of trouble. Tyson later managed to focus his anger and energy on boxing which led to his first nickname “Kid Dynamite”, but one of the first people that he hurt was his brother.
Tyson was very different to Rodney, with his brother a keen academic and so fascinated by science that he took supplies from a college chemistry lab to complete experiments at home. He had expressed an interest in becoming either a scientist or a doctor, something that wasn’t a common interest for kids in the neighborhood.
This wasn’t appreciated why Tyson, or his sister Denise, and they came up with a sickening idea when watching a drama series on television. Tyson stated in his book “Undisputed Truth” that they felt Rodney was ‘acting white’, and decided to operate on him while he was asleep.
