Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will ask a pair of former flyweight No. 1 title contenders, Jennifer Maia and Jessica Eye, to throw down at the upcoming UFC card on July 10, though a city and venue have yet to be revealed.

That’s according to MMA Fighting.

Maia (18-7-1) took reigning 125-pound champion Valentina Shevchenko to a five-round decision at UFC 255 and despite some ridiculous commentary that had her winning every round 10-8, the Brazilian ultimately came up short on the judges’ scorecards.

The loss dropped her to 3-3 inside the Octagon.

As for Eye (15-9, 1 NC), who also came up empty in her quest to upend Shevchenko, she’s looking to snap a two-fight losing streak. “Evil” dropped consecutive decision losses to Cynthia Calvillo and Joanne Calderwood, leaving the 34 year-old veteran at 5-8 (1 NC) under the UFC banner.

No other bookings have been confirmed for July 10 but you can expect that to change sooner, rather than later.
