KSI says that Andrew Tate is making excuses to avoid fighting YouTube boxers. The British YouTube star believes that Tate’s image would be tarnished if he lost to him or Logan Paul – who have both been linked to fights against Top G in recent months.
Tate is currently in negotiations with Logan’s brother Jake Paul for a bout at some point next year. However, the controversial entrepreneur recently revealed that talks are stalling with the pair unable to come to an agreement on multiple terms including purse splits, location, and the chosen A and B sides for the fight. Tate has also claimed that he will need to have warm-up contests before the influencer super fight takes place.
KSI previously called out Tate following his victories over Swarmz and Luis Pineda on the same night but isn’t confident the fight will ever happen, making reference to the problems facing the Tate vs Paul match-up.
“I mean of course, Andrew Tate is someone who says he will fight anyone, and then when people come up to him with negotiations he then goes ‘oh, I need warm-up fights’. He knows if he loses a fight to either me or Logan etcetera his whole career ends,” KSI said at the launch press conference for January 14 showdown with Dillon Danis.
“If I put a job offer into someone in the room and I said ‘sign the contract’ wouldn’t you want to know what’s in the contract? The date, how much, etcetera. You can put a contract out with a dollar in it and the fights tomorrow, would you sign it?
“No. It’s a loosely worded term, I just think if you want to fight, Jake Paul’s got a very good name, and Andrew Tate seems famous as well then why aren’t they going out and putting on shows?”
