There is no love lost between Logan Paul and Dillon Danis in new footage released ahead of their boxing showdown later this year, with the former forcing Danis to flinch as they locked eyes across the table. Paul and Danis will come face to face on Tuesday at a press conference ahead of their fight in Manchester on Oct. 14, and ahead of the event they have filmed a face-to-face discussion to hype the event.
Paul, 28, is a YouTuber turned WWE wrestling star, sports drink mogul and occasional boxer, while 30-year-old Danis – a close ally of UFC legend Conor McGregor – has two victories in the Bellator MMA organization, but has not competed since 2019. The pair have shared long-standing beef on social media and will face off on the undercard of KSI vs Tommy Fury at the AO Arena in seven weeks’ time.
Before facing the public for Tuesday’s press conference, Paul and Danis sat down for a face-to-face confrontation, which was filmed by broadcaster DAZN. In a brief clip released on Instagram, Paul pretended to throw a bottle of Prime – the drinks brand he owns with British YouTube star KSI – towards his rival, forcing Danis to cover up and turn his head.
“Go ahead, try it, you’ll see what happens,” Danis replied during a heated exchange with Paul, who lost his only sanctioned boxing bout against KSI in 2019 by split decision. Paul – who faced boxing icon Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition fight two years ago – and KSI have since become friends and business partners.
Danis, an influencer and a jiu-jitsu black belt with no sanctioned boxing experience, was due to fight KSI in earlier this year but pulled out amid claims from his rival’s team that he was “underprepared” and struggling to make weight. With KSI facing Fury, the half-brother of heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, Paul will take on Danis in the co-main event.
Paul and Danis have been embroiled in a war of words, with Danis posting several doctored pictures of Paul’s fiancée Nina Agdal – a Danish model – on social media. That continued on Tuesday with another seemingly photoshopped image.
Paul feared Danis would not show up to their showdown across the table on Tuesday after the New Jersey-born grappler was late. “He’s not showing up, he’s supposed to be right there,” Paul said on Instagram Live.
“The man is nowhere to be found. Come on, bro. Did I get got? He’s talking so much s*** on Twitter and finally, we can address it face-to-face, that’s what I’m here for. Dillon has locked himself in his room and refuses to come down.”
KSI also got involved. “The little hermit,” he said of Danis. “All this talk on Twitter, all this talk on Instagram, but in real life, [he is] scared.”
