Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul live round-by-round updates
Chad Johnson vs. Brian Maxwell
The broadcast begins with Maxwell already in the ring. Johnson now makes his entrance.
Two-minute rounds for this one.
Round 1: Johnson with a nice jab to start. Maxwell quickly closes the distance and Johnson dips out of there. Right hook by Johnson tags Maxwell. He hits another quick hook and circles out of there as Johnson tries to walk him down. Maxwell goes to the body. Johnson staying on the outside. Good movement from Johnson so far. Maxwell is chasing and he takes another right hand, but lands one of his own. A brief exchange as round one comes to a close, nothing big lands.

Round 2: More tentative start to round two. Johnson ventures in and Maxwell scores with a short counter. Lunging right for Johnson lands and Maxwell wraps him up, referee has to get in there for the break. Maxwell advancing. Johnson with a long glancing left. Johnson with some dirty boxing off of a clinch. Jab by Johnson. Maxwell tries to come over the top with a punch as they clinch up.

Round 3: Maxwell comes out more aggressive, swinging wildly. Johnson hits him with a solid check hook. Maxwell manages to corner Johnson and score. Johnson’s output has slowed in the third. Not much output from either guy actually.

Round 4: Right hand by Maxwell. Johnson felt that one, though he’s firing back. Johnson shaking his head at Maxwell’s punches. Left hand for Johnson, Maxwell backs him up with a jab. Huge right hand by Maxwell and Johnson is ROCKED. Clear knockdown. Johnson gets right back up, but that was a scary moment for him. Maxwell head-hunting now, Johnson just trying to make it to the bell. And he’ll survive

Jarret Hurd vs. Luis Arias
Round 1: Arias going to the body early. He zings in a quick combination up top, Hurd on the defensive. Jab down the middle for Hurd. He’s on the ropes and Arias is attacking the body. Hurd focusing on deflecting shots. Good body shot by Arias. Arias slips a jab and goes to the body again. Hurd sticking with his jab. Short right uppercut connects for Hurd. Left hook glances off of Hurd’s chin. Hurd protects the head and takes a jab to the body. Hurd with a sharp jab. Hurd to the body now. Right hand over the top scores for Arias.

Round 2: We have a brief delay as the ring needs to be wiped down with rain coming down over Hard Rock Stadium. They trade jabs, Arias following up with punches and pushing the pace. Hurd looking to land a big uppercut. Arias chipping away at the body and there’s a good overhand right. Then another as he counters. Hurd throwing big punches, but Arias’ defense is holding up. Hurd with a left to the body, Arias responds with a two-punch combo. Hard right cross lands for Hurd. These heavy shots are showing on Arias’ face. They’re in throwing in a phone booth now. Right hand scores for Hurd. He’s on the offensive now. Hurd with an uppercut. Arias answers, rifling in straight punches. Arias hits a Hurd with a left that had him looking a little shaky before the end of the round. Great round of action.

Round 3: Hurd using the jab to set up his shots, but Hurd with good timing, he smacks Arias with a couple of counters. Arias continues to swing big. Hurd keeping his hands high and still looking to counter. Right hand lands hard for Arias. He goes back to the body, then tags Hurd with that overhand right again. Home-run swings from Arias, Hurd staying patient. Ref warns Arias about a late shot after a clinch break. Arias really turning it up and finding a home for the overhand right. Right uppercut by Arias. They trade right hands. Arias doubles up with a left hook, he eats a counter but keeps coming forward. Hurd with a counter jab. Hurd with a combination. He ducks a haymaker and lands a body shot.

Round 4: Arias opens with a jab. Hurd pumping that jab in. He hits a glancing counter right. Arias with lots of head and upper body movement as Hurd walks him down. Hurd avoids an Arias flurry. Lunging left connects for Arias, but he takes a counter punch. Right hand again lands for Arias. Hurd sneaks in a quick counter right. Short right for Arias. Right uppercut by Hurd, then Arias goes back to throwing his right. Hurd with punches down the middle. he jabs his way in. Right hand for Hurd.

Round 5: Arias pressing forward as he has the whole fight. They scrap against the fence, Hurd with short uppercuts, Arias stinging the body. Hurd doing some damage in close. There’s the overhand right of Arias banging off of Hurd’s head. Hurd content to let Arias lean on him as he keeps slipping in short right hands. Arias going to the body then up top with the overhand right. Snapping left in close by Arias. He goes to the body with a couple of punches, then throws a couple to the head. Hurd letting loose and swinging big now, but Arias isn’t getting caught. Hurd steps in with a solid right hand. Right hand in clse by Hurd. Arias closing the round strong with a flurry.

Round 6: Hurd with a good jab. Arias getting in and out. We have another delay as there appears to be some ice (?) in the ring that has to be cleared out. We’re back to it. Arias with a pair of hooks to the body. Hurd flicks out a right hand. Arias just in his face throwing shots. Hurd lands the short uppercut. Arias doubles up with a jab. Hurd back to the body. Big right hand by Arias, Hurd just eats it. Arias rips the body with a combination, Hurd backs him up with a counter left. Hurd walking forward now, there’s a stiff uppercut. Hurd letting the hands go. Arias returns fire and backs Hurd to the ropes. Hurd lands a right as he circles away.

Round 7: Hurd comes out bringing the volume again. Hurd finding the range with his jab, but Arias circles out and walks Hurd to the ropes again. Right uppercut lands for Hurd. Another short uppercut for Hurd as Arias fires punches up top. Lead right uppercut by Arias. He’s maintaining a furious pace. Hurd blocks a combination and goes to the body… but it’s a little too low. Break in the action as Arias recovers from the below-the-belt shot. The action resumes and we immediately have another low shot! Oh no. Ref gives him a warning that another low shot will result in a point. Hurd with a right hand. Arias answers with a combination. Hurd to the body, Arias goes to the body as well. It’s Hurd’s short uppercut vs. Arias’ looping right at the end of the round.

Round 8: Hurd coming out strong in the eighth. Right uppercut just misses. Arias has to circle away. Hurd lands a right hand. Arias goes body-head. Hurd backed up in the corner, he looks content to scrap there. Arias just leaning into Hurd, but Hurd is finding openings to land short punches. Arias hits with the right, then another. There’s the left inside by Hurd. He follows with the right uppercut. Hurd just pushes Arias off of him. He has Arias on the ropes now, but Arias punches his way out of the situation. Hurd rips the body. Arias lands a four-punch combo, Hurd just pushing through the damage.

Round 9: A large logo in the center of the ring is wet and giving the fighters problems. They both slip as the round starts and we have another wipe-down. The action resumes and Arias gets hit with a counter right and drops. He doesn’t look hurt at all and it’s very possible he just slipped on a wet spot in the ring. It is ruled a knockdown. Arias smacks Hurd with a right hand. Hurd pumping the jab. Arias steps in with a hard left body shot. Arias with tons of volume. They’re scrapping in the corner and you can tell the gas tanks are running low as we head to the final round.

Round 10: Arias goes head-body-head. He is relentless. Arias sticking to the body and not giving Hurd room to breathe. Right hand for Hurd. Arias with a left hook. Hurd fighting with some urgency, but Arias is still throwing more. Bloodied, Arias pushes forward and hits Hurd with an uppercut. He is pouring it on, lots of holding from Hurd. Hurd picking up the pace a little, but Arias is avoiding the heavier shots. Arias winging hooks and Hurd hits him with a straight right to close the fight.

Badou Jack vs. Dervin Colina
Round 1: Jack taking it to Colina right away. Colina barely throwing any punches in the first minute. Jack working behind the jab, there’s a straight right. Low blow on Colina, we have a pause and Colina seems to be alright. Jack jabs to the body, then attacks the area with a short right. Nice hook to the body by Colina. Colina hanging on to Jack. Referee warns him about all the grabbing. Jack steps in with a right hook. They trade jabs.

Round 2: Colina just clinching up whenever Jack gets close. Jack with a pair of straight rights to the body. He pumps the jab in Colina’s face. Hard right lands for Jack. Colina with the tie-up again. Colina lets the hands go, Jack’s defense high and tight. Another warning for Colina for holding. Good left uppercut by Jack. Jack jabs the body. He slips a punch and scores with the right. Jack to the body. Colina holding Jack’s arm and the referee has seen enough. There’s a one-point penalty for Colina for holding. Counter-right by Colina as action resumes, Jack hits him in the body.

Round 3: Jack with an effective jab. Colina waiting to counter. Colina with a pair of hooks that Jack blocks. Jack backs Colina up against the ropes and keeps him there with straight combinations. Good counter right by Jack. Colina is deducted another point for holding. Colina letting that right hand go now. Jack staying steady with the jab. Right hand for Jack scores. Strong finish by Colina as he lands heavy body shots.

Round 4: Quick three-punch combo by Jack sends Colina to the mat for the first knockdown of the bout. He recovers quickly, but Jack is right back to the attack. Another flurry against the ropes and Colina drops to his back, hurt. It takes him longer to get up this time. Jack hunting for that finish now, Colina just clinching up to save himself. Jack pops Coilna’s head back with a straight right. Colina slips and again takes his time getting up. Jack all controlled aggression in the fourth. Good counter right by Colina followed by an uppercut. Colina with some good shots, but he leaves himself open and another body shot drops him. Three knockdowns in the frame and that’s that.
