Welcome to Midnight Mania!

Controversial UFC Heavyweight and former NFL star Greg Hardy appears to have another date booked inside the Octagon.

Hardy went on Instagram to confirm he’s accepted a bout on July 10th, the date for UFC 264. The venue has yet to be decided, but Conor McGregor vs. Dustin Poirier 3 is expected to headline.

“Getting ready for July 10th,” Hardy wrote. “It’s on contract signed and the prince is locked and loaded. Bout to drop a couple of the grade American super spiller G bombs on Australia’s favorite son #nobiden.”

Australia’s favorite son is almost certainly Tai Tuivasa, whom Hardy has called out in the past. It’s a bout that makes sense for both athletes, as the relatively inexperienced knockout artists will face off.

Hardy has been improving as of late, winning two of three bouts in 2020. He actually showcased some quality kickboxing in his most recent bout, a loss opposite Marvin Tybura. However, his gas tank and grappling seriously failed him in the second round — there’s clear room for improvement.

Tuivasa suffered similar struggles in 2019, losing three straight largely due to his opponent’s takedowns. He’s since righted the ship with a pair of knockout wins, so “Bam Bam” could really build momentum with another stoppage here.

Some looks at the new Venum attire — is this an improvement from Reebok? It doesn’t exactly break the mold, at least to my eye.

Reug Reug vs. Alain Ngalani lived up exactly to my expectations. You know a fight was pretty iffy when the highlight clip includes missed kicks!

It’s risky to look this cool.
