Nigel Benn playfully stared down his son Conor after he shoved his face into a chocolate cake. The Destroyer marked his 26th birthday on Wednesday as he continues preparations for his October 8 clash with Chris Eubank Jr.

While Eubank Jr shovelled cake and muffins into his mouth on his 33rd birthday Conor refused to touch the sweet treat. “I can’t eat that, put it away. I’m 100 per cent [committed], mate. 100 per cent,” said Conor as Nigel brought his son a cake to the ring while he was sparring middleweight contender Felix Cash.

“I’ll do it for you,” replied Nigel, as Conor blew out the candles. But as Nigel gave his son a peck on the cheek, he was shoved face first into the cake as the room erupted into laughter.

Luckily, Nigel saw the funny side of the prank as he scooped the chocolate frosting from his nose and into his mouth. In two weeks’ time, Conor will be expected to make a career-highest weight of 157lb when he meets Eubank Jr at the O2 Arena, London.

Meanwhile, Eubank Jr has been approaching his preparations in a very different way. Next Gen has released a number of videos of him gorging on unhealthy food.

Only 11 days out from the fight, Eubank Jr posted a clip of him eating a burger, with the caption:“Tastes so good it just can’t be bad. 11 days until fight night! #60percent #foodporn #weightloss.”

This follows a string of videos, including one of him indulging in a KFC chicken bucket after their launch press conference and another of him chowing down on various desserts at his recent birthday party.
