JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Even Trevor Lawrence thinks he is seemingly going to be the Jacksonville Jaguars‘ selection on the prime of the NFL draft.
The previous Clemson standout acknowledged that in a Sunday evening tweet through which he thanked Jaguars followers for buying a marriage present and elevating greater than $11,000 for him to donate to a charity of his selection. Lawrence wrote that he and his spouse, Marissa, will donate $20,000 to charities in Jacksonville and that they “hope to be part of your neighborhood quickly.”
“Quickly” will seemingly imply April 29, shortly after the draft begins at eight p.m. ET (ESPN and the ESPN app). The Jaguars have the primary total choose, and the expectation because the 2020 season ended is the workforce will choose Lawrence, whom ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. ranks as his fourth-highest-graded quarterback prospect behind John Elway, Andrew Luck and Peyton Manning.
Jaguars coach City Meyer informed NBCSports.com final month that taking Lawrence with the primary total choose is “the direction we’re going.”
Jaguars followers put collectively a social media marketing campaign to lift cash to buy a present for Lawrence’s marriage ceremony. The entire donations raised reached $11,203, in line with one of many organizers of the fund-raising drive.
