Tyson Fury is confident Deontay Wilde will knock out Robert Helenius this weekend. The Gypsy King believes that given Helenius struggled against Dillian Whyte, he will fare no better against Wilder – whom Fury claims hits five times harder than The Body Snatcher.
Wilder returns to the ring for the first time since suffering back-to-back knockout losses to Fury against his former sparring partner at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on October 15. The fight has been elevated to a WBC eliminator bout with the winner expected to face Andy Ruiz Jr in a final eliminator for a shot at Fury’s green strap.
Both Wilder and Fury have stated that a fourth fight between the pair shouldn’t be ruled out and it could become a real possibility providing The Bronze Bomber wins his next two bouts. His upcoming contest against The Nordic Nightmare is a forgone conclusion as far as Fury is concerned, who backs his fierce rival to get the business done on fight night.
“I think that Helenius is a good fighter,” Fury told iD Boxing. “I think that he’s No1-ranked with the WBA or he should be if he’s not.
He added: “He’s had a year out, we do not know how much the Gypsy King has taken out of Wilder. He’s had a year out and I gave him a hell of a beating that last time, really laid it to him and he needed a long time recover so we will see.”
