Valerie Loureda has her next opponent.
The 22-year-old flyweight prospect fights Hannah Guy at Bellator 258 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., on May 7. Officials announced Loureda’s matchup Thursday via Maxim.com.
Loureda, a Taekwondo master, is 3-0 since making her pro MMA debut with Bellator in February 2019. Two of Loureda’s wins have come by way of KO/TKO, including her vicious finish of Tara Graff at Bellator 243.
This will be Guy’s Bellator debut. Guy, 25, has put together a 2-1 pro record competing in the Mississippi regional scene. She most recently defeated Vanessa Marie Grimes by rear-naked choke submission at a Summit FC show in Tupelo this past August.
Bellator 258 is scheduled to be headlined by a bantamweight title bout between champion Juan Archuleta and challenger Sergio Pettis. In the co-main event, former UFC title contenders Anthony “Rumble” Johnson and Yoel Romero face off in a Bellator Light Heavyweight World Grand Prix quarterfinal matchup.
