Dynamite Collingwood forward Jamie Elliott has suffered a suspected serious leg injury in the Magpies’ AFL clash with Carlton.
The 28-year-old was taken off in the second quarter of Thursday night’s game at the MCG after making a prominent start with two goals.
Magpies medical substitute Trey Ruscoe was immediately activated into the game as Elliott was taken into the rooms for assessment.
Elliott has endured a horrible run with injury during his 125-game career, missing lengthy periods due to soft-tissue, back and ankle issues.
If the crafty goal-sneak is out for an extended time it will place further pressure on Collingwood’s forward stocks of Jordan De Goey and Brody Mihocek.
