Before the Twins’ game with the A’s on Tuesday night, manager Rocco Baldelli discussed shortstop Carlos Correa’s impending return to the active roster from the injured list, where he has been since May 10 (retroactive to May 6) with a bruised right middle finger.

“I think there’s a good possibility we see him out there [Wednesday],” Baldelli said in a pregame media session. “I can’t say it with certainty, but I do think it’s a strong possibility. The other option is Friday, after the off-day, but I do think tomorrow looks pretty good right now.”

Correa landed on the IL a day after he exited during the seventh inning of a 5-3 loss to the Orioles after he was hit on the finger by a pitch.

Correa is hitting .255/.320/.372 with two home runs and 11 RBIs in 24 games this season.
