Tyson Fury backed up his status as the best heavyweight boxer on the planet as he defeated Deontay Wilder in Las Vegas in the early hours of Sunday morning. The Gypsy King retained his WBC heavyweight crown by knocking his opponent out in the 11th round.
And now his father John has claimed the boxer should only return to the ring to fight Oleksandr Usyk.
“He’s gotta go look for Usyk or nothing, in my idea,” Fury Snr told talkSPORT on Monday morning.
“It’s Usyk next, or nothing. I wouldn’t bother with the rest of them – they’re not in Tyson’s class.
“Would Dillian Whyte deal with Deontay Wilder? No. So why would they wanna put him in with my son and get him knocked out?
“Tyson can’t get up for them kind of fights. For me, I’ve told him, Usyk or don’t bother.”

Usyk claimed the WBA, WBO and IBF belts last month as he stunned favourite Anthony Joshua at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The Ukrainian dominated Joshua throughout that contest and was eventually deemed the winner after a points decision.
If Usyk is to face Fury, he will first need to fight Joshua for a second time after the Briton triggered a clause for a rematch. Their second match-up will take place in the spring of next year.
Joshua, himself, had looked set to face Fury if he beat Usyk but a fight between the two Britons now looks unlikely to go ahead.
The duo went glove to glove to assert their dominance and Fury had to survive another scare as he was boxed into a corner just before the midway point.
But the Gypsy King dug deep and finally started to dominate in round seven, before battering his opponent in the latter stages of the fight.
Wilder attempted to stay in the contest but was knocked down for a second time in the tenth.
And after landing a series of thumping shots, Fury eventually put the Alabaman out of his misery in the 11th round.
