Tyson Fury’s cruised to a one-sided victory over his old rival Derek Chisora at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium – stopping Del Boy in the 10th round of their heavyweight showdown to retain his WBC world title in front of 60,000 spectators in north London. The 38-year-old veteran went out on his shield following a brutal beatdown before eventually being put out of his misery by referee Victor Loughlin as he called a halt to the contest.

Chisora was never really in this fight although he was never mentally prepared to let go as he suffered some excruciating physical punishment.

Fury continued to tee off on Chisora’s battered and bruised face as his opponent’s right eye began to close mid-contest.

He only ever looked to be one serious punch away from victory but Chisora still stood firm and continued to stand tall despite being on the receiving end of some sickening blows.

Loughlin advised Chisora’s corner to pull him out of the contest before he was left with no other option but to wave the bout off in Round 10 – a decision Chisora later thanked him for.

During the spectacle, Fury is understood to have exchanged words with Oleksandr Usyk at ringside and he invited the Ukrainian up into the ring after his victory.

But there was no welcome party for the unified heavyweight champion, who was subjected to verbal abuse from Fury as the pair eye a blockbuster undisputed fight in 2023.

Usyk seems ready to rumble but so is Joe Joyce, who also climbed up into the ring to throw his name into the mix.

Fury will now prioritise the undisputed clash with Usyk but he has promised Joyce an all-British heavyweight showdown if the WBA, WBO and IBF champion does not oblige.
